You can’t really miss the strident yellow alley entrance, but your journey’s end is rather less in your face. Mixology rules here in this cosy bar, at amazingly good prices and with minimum pizazz. Both floors feel more like a mate’s pad than one of Brighton’s prime cocktail bars – an achievement in itself – though there’s still a good splash of lemon paint about. Always good value, but seriously so between 12pm and 9pm from Sun-Fri when cocktails start at just £3.95. Go for the Banoffee Pie Martinis, Whisky Cherry Sours or a Sloe Gin Fizz and chill.
