Snowdrop Inn

119 South Street

01273 471018

In 1836 houses on this site (below a chalk cliff) fell victim to Britain’s worst ever avalanche with  at least eight people perishing. When all the debris was cleared, the Snowdrop was erected. Today, inside, it has the quirky look of a massive wooden cabin. Alongside the expected Harvey’s look for modern tyros Burning Sky. The pub prides itself on its food and is keen on seasonal and locally sourced products. Expect local charcuterie, rabbit and freshly caught fish.
