Infinity Foods Cafe

50 Gardner Street

North Laine

Old school veggie cafe with an emphasis on locally sourced and organic vegetarian ingredients treated simply in the kitchen of this cafe attached to Brighton’s prime wholefood shop. Both shop and cafe are light and airy over two floors and in summer tall French windows open up on to a terrace. All food is vegetarian with vegans and those on wheat and gluten-free diets also well catered for. The bread comes from Infinity’s own bakery and  much of the menu is made to order throughout the day, starting with a full Veggie Breakfast that includes veggie bacon, veggie sausage, free range egg, baked beans, roasted vine tomato, toasted granary and herby polenta slice (£8.50, available until 12.30pm and all day on Sunday). Favourite vegan treats include Smoked Tofu, Sweet Miso, Aubergine and Rocket Sandwich (£4.50, to take away £3.35) and their in-house Organic Chocolate and Pistachio Tiffin (£2.80).
