Sunday brunch in the Bistro du Vin is a real bargainat £24.95 for four courses (£9.95 for under-12s). It features soup, a French Market Table consisting of seafood, charcuterie, pâtés, rillettes and salads and, as a centrepiece, a choice of Normandy Chicken or Rare Medium Rib of Beef partnered by a candidate for best Yorkshire pud in town. And, of course, this  being the Hotel du Vin there is a very attractive wine list to choose from. Instead you could ask the waiter to bring through a pint of Sussex’s finest Harvey’s or Hophead ales from the adjacent Pub du Vin.
