Here at Taste Brighton there's nothing we like more than a day at a food and drink festival.
So we've compiled our latest chart - "Top 10 Brighton Festivals" - to give us all some dates for our diaries this year and a veritable feast of interesting events to look forward to.
As a city of around quarter of million people, actually Brighton doesn't have a vast number of fairs and festivals, and many, like the Kemptown Carnival are not necessarily food or drink biased, more like a giant shindig (and there's nothing wrong with that!!), so we've headed a little further out of Brighton and Hove for a few of them to find an array of events that we think may be worth seeking out around Sussex too.
Of course, The Brighton Festival held for almost the whole month of May gives our restaurants, bars and cafes the opportunity to shine as our city devotes itself to culture, and we'll be providing a list of our 'don't miss it' tips for anyone visiting us during the Laurie Anderson curated Brighton Festival nearer the date; it's going to be a very special one as the festival is 50 years old in 2016!
If you know of any fairs or festivals that we have missed please let us know. Do remember too that events can be postponed, cancelled and dates changed so please check websites before you make your plans to head out.
We'll look forward to seeing you at one of these events, whether you're munching on a chilli in Chichester, downing a pint of Sussex beer in Brighton or enjoying a rollmop in Hastings!
